We are looking for colleagues from our existing workforce to help support new international medical graduates settle into their training posts.

 

Content

This 1/2 day workshop will provide delegates with the tools to support new international medical graduates by being able to:

  • Describe the similarities and differences between coaching and mentoring approaches.

  • Develop enhanced skills including active listening, supportive and challenging questioning

  • Build rapport and respectfully challenge assumptions, perceptions and limiting beliefs to enable wider perspectives and generate more options.

 

Who should attend

This course has been designed for doctors in training looking to support their international colleagues settle into their training posts. Delegates will leave with the knowledge required to actively support new international medical graduates adapt and settle into their new posts.
