Penninsula Radiology Academy
This one day event aims to provide an insight into Radiology careers and training. We are aiming the topics at Junior Doctors (F1/F2) and all Medical Students who might consider a career in Radiology.
One session will comprise of a handful of talks highlighting how far Radiology has come, what it’s like to be a Radiologist, training, the application process and what the future holds. There will also be a dedicated talk on Interventional Radiology.
A second session comprises of four 45 minute small group sessions. The idea of these is to let you have a go on some of the advanced 3D workstations, ultrasound and the vascular simulator (VIST). Ending with a Q&A session where you will be given information about careers in radiology, interview tips, life as a registrar and much much more.
The cost is £20, this includes lunch and refreshments, which will be refunded to you on the day. There are only 40 places and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The closing date for all applications is Monday 21st October (late applications may be considered, depending on available spaces).
