Aim

To develop the knowledge and basic skills needed to be an effective Educational Supervisor of Medical Trainees

Objectives

At the end of this workshop you should be able to:

  • Describe the roles of the named Educational & Clinical Supervisor
  • Understand the purpose of the Portfolio
  • Understand the purpose of the assessments
  • Understand the purpose of the ARCP & supervisor meetings
  • Develop skills to undertake meaningful appraisals
  • Give effective feedback
  • Career management

A whole day workshop for Educational Supervisors - Please note, this is requirement seven of the Educational Supervisor minimum requirements and needs to be attended once.
