• Pre-conference event: The Big Debate ‘This house believes that medicine is the best career in the world’ hosted by The BMJ on Friday 23rd October with speakers including Clare Gerada, Helgi Johannsson, Partha Kar and Pete Deveson
• BMJ Careers/BMJ Live Exhibition on Saturday 24th October
• Access to BMJ Quality including 10 hours of online learning resources and online mentoring (usually reserved for institutional users) and a 50% discount on costs of publication (for all submissions within 6 months of the event)
There are some fantastic speakers including Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, national medical director of the NHS, Professor Wendy Reid, Director of Education and Quality and Medical Director, Health Education England, and James Titcombe whose experience as a bereaved father prompted a fight which ended with a national independent report into maternal and neonatal deaths at Morecambe Bay hospital.

There will also be a selection of great workshops on diverse issues.
